Dynamic Learning Maps featured in Lawrence Journal-World

Monday, January 12, 2015

The Lawrence Journal-World recently reported on the progress of Dynamic Learning Maps™, a project of the Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation focused on bringing more appropriately focused instruction to students with significant cognitive disabilities through improved evaluation methods.

The Dynamic Learning Maps project maps out visually the many skills students must learn on the way to completing complex tasks like analyzing the motivations of a character in a text, allowing educators to see what gaps in knowledge a student who is struggling may have and what possible alternate routes may be taken to arrive at the ability to complete high-level tasks.

Currently in its fifth year, the grant-funded project is nearing completion.
